I just wanted to find out what exactly a what-if report is and what sort of information it will give me.

Why don't the op press the button and see what happens?

Yes, but when I saw the post, the first thing I did was google it, and there are plenty of pages outlining the types of information you can get from them.
So, is the OP looking for anything specific? Personally, I don't see the point in them. It seems like using a calculator to figure out 2+2.
