I have to submit my residence application before June 3rd and I really want to live in Les Prince first year. I ranked "single with washroom" as my first preference, single as my second, and double as my third. I'd rather not live in a double, but if I don't get assigned a single room I want a friend as a roommate. We both accepted each other's roommate requests, so will we automatically be assigned the same room, or is that only if I don't get assigned one of my top two choices?

Usually, they give first years double rooms. Since you requested a roommate, and they accepted the request, you'll probably be placed in a double as well.

I think the policy was that if you put your friend down and your friend put you down, then they give you that automatically. I could be wrong; someone correct me if I am.

First Year Students wishing to room with a friend will be placed as roommates as long as both have:

• received guaranteed residence offers
• met the residence application and deposit deadline
• ranked their preferences identically, and
• requested each other as roommates
• A valid roommate request WILL over-ride requests for single bed-space room types (i.e. if you have a valid roommate request, you will be assigned together; single room requests will not be considered).
