Find a way to get become relaxed before the interview and during the interview. One of the co-op office's methods for preparing for interviews is to record yourself during a mock interview to evaluate what you can do better. Look up interview stream (free if you go to Mac or something like that).

Remember to smile! Leaves a good impression and probably helps with the nerves. Make sure you are prepared for as many possible questions as you can think of it. Know your resume inside out. There are plenty more tips out there, but for interviews, its practice makes perfect. So grab a friend to help you out!

Definitely practice! Know your strengths, weakness, why you want the job, how your previous experiences gave you the skills to excel in this job, how you've developed your communication, leadership, teamwork (whatever applies) skills and how you can use those skills to contribute to the job.

Know the job description, expectations, etc really well.

**BE SURE TO ASK AT LEAST 2-3 QUESTIONS to your interviewer about the job/related info** (I used CAPS lock because many people underestimate how important this is).

Ask them questions like: Why do you like working here? What are you most proud of having accomplished here? What was your worst day here?

When they ask you about your weaknesses, be honest and don't say things like "I'm too detail-oriented" or "I work too hard." Let your interviewer know about a weakness you actually have and explain how you've been working on overcoming it. My manager told me that she hired me because I told her about a real weakness of mine. She was deciding between another candidate and me, and she ended up choosing me because she appreciated my honesty.

I have a list of common interview questions and how to answer them from a co-op class, but I need 5 posts before I can reply with links.

I'll PM them to whoever wants it.

So what would be the proper way to answer this question?

"I would say something that I am still learning is how to *insert weakness here* however, I plan to improve this skill by *insert how you will improve said skill here.*" Then if you have any experiences in the past that helped with improvement share it.

Give a real weakness and explain how you are trying to improve. For example, if you say that you are introverted, talk about how you are working to overcome it (going to Welcome Week, joining a club, working with new group members, etc.).
