i dont think its a good idea to take 4h03 in 3rd year...it's extremely content heavy, requires a lot of time investment...and the more biology background you have the better..

I might take life science 2n03 (nutrition) in term 2. the course seems easy as the prereq is bio1a03 and antireq is kin 1f03.

LOL, to be honest, I think I'm going to take that instead of clinical biochem. It sounds easier, and far more importantly: it's not at 8:30am...
Also, how did you find info about it? I don't see it on:
 http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1988.html
And there's no professor in the master timetable (yet) unfortunately...wonde r who's teaching it.

EDIT: Anyone have any suggestions for a course in term 2, that preferably isn't on Monday? Currently I have a psych course set on Monday, but it's the only course I have that day and I'm not necessarily particularly keen on keeping it - especially if I can find a suitable alternative that allows me to have Mondays off.

Apparently Mol Bio 4H03 is ridiculously hard...

The Prof that teaches its anti-requisite is Dr. Phillips and he is absolutely one of the best profs at mac. (He's teaching 3rd year Nutrition this year though and it looks like a sessional is going to be teaching first year)
The sessional who taught the third year course last year was apparently good ( http://www.linkedin.com/in/transitionhealth). The other person I can think of would be the grad student who fills in for Dr. Phillips during conferences and also gives a lecture on Nutrigenomics to the first year class. Again she's quite good as well.

The outline for the anti-requisite is here: http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/kinesiology/images/files/undergraduate/courses/10_11_outlines/1F03_Outline_Fall_201 0.pdf

I'm desperate enough to just keep Clinical Biochem, even if it involves 2 8:30 classes per week :(.

I know, it's weird. There's a lot of changes that are on either the undegrad calendar or the Master timetable, but not both :/
But Mondays off would be awesome! I hope it works out

I think they really fracked up the schedules this time around, I've never had so much trouble filling up a course schedule and had so much unevenness (term 1 is fine, term 2 is horrid).

Honestly, take Biochem 3H03. It's interesting and I've found it incredibly useful.

3N03 (Nutrition) was extremly tough last year, in fact no one got a 12.

As for clinical biochem, it is alright - the questions are lots of application type Q, and you realyl have to keep up.
