Does anyone know how the internet access works? do we need to pay for anything or are there networks that we can connect to?

Internet is free, you just hook your computer up via ethernet cable (which is also supplied).

thanks jhan523. i just got my laptop today and I am super excited to start at Mac in a few weeks
Also, are we allowed to have a kettle that you plug into an outlet to make tea or oatmeal in our rooms?

technically no, but you can use one in the common rooms.
