Limit Bandwidth for Users on Network?
I'm on a home network, and there is 1 user/device that takes up alot of bandwidth. Is there a way to limit the upload/download speeds of one particular device on a network?

I've checked with the manufacturer of my router, and it doesn't have this function. Does anyone know what brand/model of routers can do this, or whether this can be achieved through software?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I could be wrong, but check with dd-wrt. It's a firmware you can used on a Linksys router, and it has infinitely more options and settings available. This might be a feature of the firmware.

Does the other person just not care that he uses a lot? I use a network monitor on my desktop that run on the sidebar and since getting it, I use a lot less bandwidth once I found out how much I really used

first of all, how many people use your router? Is your router protected? I downloaded over 13 gigabytes from my neighbors router once, just because of passwordless connection.
