The Hamilton Fringe Festival is looking for Volunteers!
Fringe Volunteers are the hardworking people of the Hamilton Fringe Festival. Every year, approximately 95 volunteers come out and dedicate their time and energy into making the Fringe Festival a huge success. They are the backbone of the entire festival, and without them, much of what we do would not be possible! This year the Fringe Festival will run at four different locations in downtown Hamilton in the James St. N area from July 19th-29th.
Volunteers are entrusted with many different responsibilities, dependant on the duties that need to be filled. Some of the volunteer positions available for this year’s Fringe include:
-Backstage/Technical
-Fringe Club
-Billeting
-Box Office
-Load In/Tear Down
-Marketing Crew
-Office Support
-Usher
-Venue Captain
Volunteers provided a free Fringe t-shirt and backer button to wear at all of their volunteer shifts. Volunteers are also given a Fringe Coupon for each four hour shift worked, which entitles them to see a show for free!
If you are interested in volunteering at this year’s Fringe fill out the online Volunteer Sign Up Form and submit it to us from our website: simply google Hamilton Fringe 2012, go to our website and click on the Volunteer page ! The applications are both in .pdf and .doc formats
Make sure to correctly fill out all of your contact information (name, e-mail, phone number) so the Volunteer Coordinator can contact you. As a volunteer you will need to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session on July 4th, at 7:30 at Artword Artbar in Hamilton to learn all about the various jobs. If you have any questions at all, please e-mail us!
We look forward to seeing you at our Orientation!
