How many students apply to mac's business program each year?
Does anyone know the numbers? Approximately how many students apply each year and how many get accepted, specifically the past two years and this year, if that's possible to know. Will it be possible to get in with an 86-87 avg after midterms for fall 2015??

I don't' know about the number of applicants, but when I was there in 2009, the associated dean of the business school, at the time, said they target at 540 kids. I think that number has gone up now. If you are in the admission average range I think you should be fine. 86-87 will definitely get you in. If you can hit that average, you should be confident of your chances

It doesn't really go by the number of applicants. It goes by your average. When I got in, the cut-off was 84%. I believe that last year it changed to either 85% or 86% (I feel like it was 86%). If you can keep your average at or above that, you should get in no problem.

The cutoff is determined by the number of applicants.
If there are 1000 applicants and 500 people are accepted, they'll put all of the applicants in order based on their average and take the top 500 people. The 500th person's average is the "cutoff".

True, but my understanding is that their forecasts for applicants are usually fairly accurate and that's why I believe a couple years ago they states that the average admission will probably increase to 86% (unless I'm mistaken). You can easily call them and ask the cutoff. Not sure if they'll have it by now or not but if they do, they'll tell you what it is.

I know this is a different question but anyone know the conditions for this program when you get a conditional offer?

Your conditional offer will state the conditions. They're not necessarily the same for everyone.

Thank you everyone for your replies!! It had calmed my nerves somewhat I am definitely less anxious after your posts so thank you! I just hope I can keep my avg at 86-87 for midterms and get that acceptance letter soon so I can finally breathe easy. I just hope I don't die of anxiety before midterms roll around. -_______-

You may notice who I am if you get in next year, but I do hear from admissions committee so 84.5% should get you in. As long as you have 2 maths and english then those are the required courses. As said above the conditions are different for everyone. Mines said 84% is needed to be maintained but other had like 82% for some reason.
