Math 1LS3
I think this course was very easy. We started at a very basic level (probably grade 9 math) with the linear equation and moved up from there. The last unit, integration, was the only major new thing but it wasn't too bad.

Your mark was the better of :

4 tests, lowest...

Oh no kaka22, I was just asking since I'm planning on taking math later on.. as an elective, not because of requirements

if your not good at math, dont take 1aa3,
if your good at math, i would recommend taking 1a03 as 1ls3 does not really prepare you as well for 1aa3
me, i was good at math but 1a03 was full
1ls3 was such a joke, we spent first week learning about functions
TESTS - Watch your time. Your given only an hour no more no less, they are strict about that.
No assignemnts that are summative, however, i would recommend going to tutorial.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I heard so much about the timing, hopefully it won't be too bad :S. Hmm, you're right. I'll consider getting into 1A03, since I'm relatively good at math.. I just hated the vectors section =S.

I don't think there is a lot of vectors in 1A03 so no worries!

Is the integration aspect of this course difficult or is it just basic integration?

I'm pretty sure most of it is basic Integration, since in Calculus& Vectors, we didn't have integration. Well we went through it just as an introduction, but it was more derivatives and such. 1AA3 and 1A03 would have more difficult/advanced integration for sure

kaka22-SAME! even though I love geometry.. vectors is just not my thing.. Oh well

I took the course last year and the integration is very simple. It's the last topic you learn in the course so there are a couple of questions on the exam but nothing too bad. As long as you attend the lectures and take notes you should be fine. The tutorials also help a lot since they are conducted by the professor himself as opposed to a TA.

It's showing up as full for me too. Just keep on checking to see if a spot has opened up. Your best bet would be August 13 and onwards though.
