math 2r03 tutorial (conflict)
I want to take math 2R03 and it's conflicting with one of my major courses.
(math 2R03's tutorial and the core for the other course)

For those who has taken math 2R03, do you think the tutorial is important enough that I shouldnt take it?

I talked to dr. M Harada and she said the tutorial is not "mandatory"...
I am not sure What I should do. Any suggestions?

if you really want to take that math class, then go ahead and take it. like you said tutorials aren't mandatory and you aren't missing any lectures which is the important part. also, i'm sure you'll make friends in that class and can get the tutorial notes off them. i understand that the tutorial is a time to ask questions and clear doubts but you can also use the prof and TA's office hours to ask your questions. the math help center is also available for questions and doubts.

keeping these factors in mind, if I were you, I'd go ahead and take the course with the tutorial conflict IMO.

Most math tutorials (espeically first year) is just sit in a room taking up textbook answers. It wasn't helpful to me since it was time consuming and most of the time I wasn't even caught up. Many people I knew ended up not going to them but the choice is yours.

I found 2r03 tutorials weren't necessary.
