Even the "small" rooms in McKay are still a decent size compared to other residence rooms. The rooms on the first floor (near Commons) are roughly the size of all rooms on the side facing Commons up until the 5th floor. The 5th floor is only one wing and the rooms are fairly huge because of their large ceilings, which comparatively makes other rooms look "small". They are all rather large though and quite comfortable. If you live on the far side of the 4th floor, your rooms will resemble the 5th floor rooms because they do not have another level above them (recall that the 5th floor only has one wing). The skylights are not...your typical sky lights, just windows very high up on the ceiling but they're great for letting more light in.
The smallest rooms were those on the far side of the 1st floor. Even those were pretty nice, and I assure you, the people make the hall, not the rooms.
