They're the same thing. I think a better test would be to send an email from Gmail/Hotmail to your [email protected] er.ca and the same email to [email protected]. Both messages should end up in your mcmaster email.

I tried that, and it worked, the thing is that, for a couple of courses i need to download some software that's only available when I use my 'mcmaster email acount' thats why i was wondering which one I should use... if it even matters...

I used to have the issue where my [email protected] would not work, but @muss.cis.mcmaster.ca would work. I emailed a guy at UTS, who said my email @mcmaster always worked, and then magically seemed to work from then on. bizarre.

My @mcmaster email redirects to one of my other emails, while my @muss.cis.mcmaster email goes to my McMaster email.

cygnusX1 is right. Sending an email to your @mcmaster.ca account will forward any emails to one of your other email addresses (which you can specify on MUGSI), while sending something to your @muss.cis.mcmaster.ca account will go only to your McMaster email.
