Medical School Pre-Reqs
According to OMSAS, the only schools with specific course pre-reqs are UOttawa and UofT. Am I overlooking something or can I really take any courses I want?

You should also consider if there are any schools outside of Ontario that you want to apply to, as well as the content of the MCAT - some people find that this affects their course selection as well.
Many students also take courses relevant to medicine in the hopes that it will better prepare them for med school (anatomy/physiology, immunology, etc).

I figured as much, thank you for your input!

I also have another question: If a requirement is a full course equivalent of any life science, does this mean they have to be continuation courses (i.e. Chem 1A03 and Chem 1AA3) or can I use two separate life sciences that would equal 1 full year (i.e. Bio 1A03 and Physics 1B03)?

Life Science refers to Biology, Chem/Physics are just courses many LifeSci students take

Typically Chemistry and Physics are considered part of Physical Science and Biology is a Life Science. If it ask for a life science course, check the undergraduate calendar and see what constitutes as a life science course for your program.

It's actually not your current program that matters; you should check to see what constitutes "life science" for the school(s) you want to apply to.
