Sometimes we hear random banging around here, but there's never anyone in the halls when we hear it, doors slamming to rooms that were locked, the bathroom door periodically opening and shutting etc. Was in the basement around the second day I was here and it sounded like someone climbing the stairs, but no one was there.

wow. maybe there is someone else living in that residence besides you.

Personally, I'd rather hear about deranged psychotic stuff like that as opposed to helping out a cause half way across the world (just as a random example)
It's just interesting.

I don't know why there wouldn't be.
I think what creeps me out most about all these stories is the closed up tunnels that we're living over. I don't know why, it just gives me shivers.

Haha yeah this is very crazy stuff...if you google "murders mcmaster university" or something similar it will pop up with a bunch more that have occured...apparently two people were murdered in '94, a nursing prof, Janet McKnight, and a student, Joan Heimbecker. The man who murdered Joan committed suicide rather than pay for his crime. There was also a history prof, Edith Whiteman, who was murdered in 1990. Really crazy to think that these terrible things happened right where we are every day! :(

Really tunnels are not that scary. Most campuses have them. It you have ever been in the ones at UW those are scary. So trippy! ^_^
I of course really wish we could use them so I wouldn't have to go out side to get from class to classes in the winter time brrrr.

Tunnels themselves aren't scary but abandoned ones that are not used and locked up are pretty eerie...

Electronic Maglocks... same reason most doors to roofs open up during power outages too.
