Does anyone know if we can use the 2nd edition textbook? Or does it have to be the 3rd edition?

I took this class in Fall 2016 with Dr. Simon Wood. This is one of my most favourite classes I've ever taken. Dr. Wood is an amazing prof; I enjoyed coming to class and the information is fun, interesting, and straightforward. The course focuses largely on the history of music and the social/political factors that influenced each era. There were two midterms and a final exam. If you have room for an elective, take this class.

Tip: memorize dates and info about musicians/bands. I thoroughly studied for each midterm and the exam and got a 12 in this course. Also, you will need the textbook.
