A friend of mine is new to Mac this September. He will be registering for courses on SOLAR on Monday (Soc Sci). Does he need to have filled out the New Student Form or received his student card in order to access SOLAR? He is a mature student and he was given an offer VERY recently, so he wouldn't have even had time to send in the form and get the ID before his sign up date.

He accepted his offer, and his MacID is activated, but I thought I read something on MI about needing to have sent in the New Student Form before registering on SOLAR.

No he doesn't need to have done that, the MacID is all you need.
