New Thode Layout?
The basement area with the large tables has been replaced with a whole slew of the cartels (the desks with walls). I don't know it its gonna stay.

What'd you guys think?

I'm not sure if I like it...yes, its useful during an exam period, but otherwise...its not really that busy of an area, and its hard to find tables like what they had around campus, for group meetings, etc.

I noticed the other day, though, that there are a lot more tables on the main floor now. Maybe they took them from the basement?

I just wanted to point out that the desks are called "carrels".

Lol, I just had a mental image of entering the Thode basement and seeing a crowd of men decked out in light cotton shirts and aviator sunglasses: "Hey man, do you have the stuff?" "Do you have the money?" "What about the stuff??!"

Hm, seems more entertaining than a few meager tables......:nerdplea sed:

Wow, that sucks to say the least. First floor is always really loud, I liked the basement tables so much more to study.

Do the desks have power and lights, like the 2nd floor ones?

"Carrels," yes. That's what you get when you type with a headache. -facepalm-

Thing is, there are already a bunch of them in the room right next to it, so I don't see the advantage of moving all whole new set of them in there... my poor basement's gotten all depressing again. I was down there alone for a while, and it was so quiet and spooky I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, lol. This was at like lunch time, too.

And I didn't see any outlets, or anything like that.
