Only have 27units?
So earlier in the year, I decided to switch from a major in Life Science to a major in History, so I ended up dropping chemistry. Since I only have 27 units, will I not be allowed to continue into second year honours history?

Nope, youre fine. You can go into level 2 with 24 units minimum. Likewise, level 3 with 54 units. You can see the trend. However, just be aware you will need to make up your missing 3 units sometime to graduate. Either a summer course, or overloading, etc.

I would suggest trying to make up those units either in second year or in summer school - in third and fourth year history you have to take seminars, which I've been told have a lot of reading (as compared to second year history courses, which for me were probably averaging a couple hundred pages a week each)

as others have said you will be fine, i entered second year honours history missing three units. You'll just have to pick up the course before you graduate, so its best if you take the course you need before third or fourth year

If you can, try and take even more classes than you need when you make up the three you are missing.
Meaning, if you can take 24 units of classes in your final year rather than 30...you will be super happy, and a lot less stressed.
