Hello,
Just so you know, I took those exact same courses in first year! Opened many doors. If you stick to it, you will also have the choice of picking from any 2nd year science program you want! Whether it is biology, physics, chemistry, life sci, biochem, chem bio, ... the prerequisites will be covered!
When I took those courses in 2008/2009, they were all manageable. From what I have seen in recent years, Bio 1A03, Physics 1B03 and the Psychs have gotten easier. Math 1AA3 has gotten tougher. The rest of the courses have more or less stayed the same.
If you're strong in math/physics, I wouldn't stress much about 1BA3. If you want to major in chemistry or physics, I would highly recommend 1BA3 over 1BB3. However, 1BB3 is probably easier and more computation based. Alternately, Math 1B03 is also a good course that has become much easier in recent years. You may want to consider that one also.
Lastly, IF medical school is TRULY what you want, and you're confident that you will major in one of biology/lifesci/biopsych/chembio/biochem/combination, then you may want to reconsider your electives. For instance, many of the first years take Math 1LS3, Physics 1L03, and Econ electives, rather than Physics 1BB3/BA3 or Math 1AA3. You may also want to consider English 1A03/1AA3/1CS3 in first year, as a full year of English is required for American med schools and some in the Western provinces.
Good luck.
