OSAP course load
hello everyone, so i am going take 13 credits the first term(6 courses) and 15 credits the second term (5 courses) and the engineering 1 is a total of 37 units so 28/37=75.67 which means 76% does that mean i am still eligible for the full time student OSAP? i think it says a minimum of 60% per term but i am not sure of what does that mean

You are still eligible for OSAP since you are taking more than a 60% course load. However, keep in mind that since you are taking less than a full course load, you need to work hard if you are thinking of going into something that requires a high gpa in 2nd year (like civil, mechanical, management, etc.).

This is because at mcmaster some 2nd year engineering programs are competitive to get into and require more than a pass (60%) in first year to get into them.

Technically no, but in Engineering, if you are taking less than 33 units (if my old memory is right), you have to pay fees. So you will still get less money in total.

Nope, it's not gonna affect it by much, but you won't be getting the same amount as someone who's taking a full course load (cuz that person needs more money to pay for more courses).

Also just wondering, if you are taking 11 courses in total, shouldn't that be at least 33 units? In that case you are taking more than a 76% course load. It doesn't really matter since you are taking more than a 60% course load, but when you apply for osap, make sure you recalculate the number (it's more than 76%) because they will ask you for that in the osap registration.
