Why is it so overwhelming? I just threw all my shit into my dresser, and what didnt fit I stuffed into garbage bags. It was the easiest part of packing for me.

Oh god packing clothes is always the hardest thing to do! In May of this year I had to try and pack my clothes for 8 months, like 8 months that I actually wasn't going home at anytime! It took me forever to get to it just cause I couldn't stand the thought of having to choose my clothes. I ended up mostly just packing summer clothes and then when my parents came to visit me here (aka France) they brought up my winter stuff and now I'm going through the same dilemma and trying to figure out what I need for the next 4 months because whatever it is I'm stuck with it.

uuuhhmmm, to the people (mostly guys, clearly) who tell me to pack the entire wardrobe.........I think it would be useless to bring ALL of my clothes.
I'm pretty sure that if I didn't do laundry for the entire 8 months, I still wouldn't have run out of clean clothes -__- not to mention the fact that I'm in a triple room, and I'm a tad worried about running out of space

Ya I'm pretty sure that if I would have brought my over 50 pairs of shoes in first year then my roommates probably wouldn't have been very happy with me.

They're all different styles and colors. I'm a sucker for a cute pump, or boot, or wedge, or sandal... or all of them.

what i'd suggest is bring abit of summer stuff to get u through the 1st few weeks (its almost always hot throughout welcome week), and your running shoes, flats, pair of heels, etc. and then bring a bit of fall stuff with you to like jeans light sweaters..a fall jacket. then when you go back at thanksgiving you can bring all your summer stuff home, and bring boots and some of the heavier sweaters and jackets back to get ready for the cold.

I don't know, I'm not surprised. Truthfully, I think my overload on clothing would have to be tops.
Sweaters, tank tops, T-shirts..you name it. I probably have over 300 lol its ridiculous! D:
