med phys department is an extreme disspointment to me. When they said they would offer MedPhys 4L03 this coming school year, it gave me good reason to look into more courses from tht department. But because they are very inconsistent with wht they mean, tht course is never going to be offered again. It was just shown, just to prove how little their words mean. especially if its written down in the calendar. So for those of u going into medphys hoping there is some sort of actualy emphasis on anatomy, just dont. cuz apparently medrads are much better for tht instead. Very misleading to say the least.

I see. I am going into 2nd year medical physics and I don't really care about the anatomy, i'm more in it for the physics and application to imaging/radiation therapy. I've looked at the mandatory courses and see that there isn't much bio/physiology/anatomy, I don't really mind.

I'm sorry that it wasn't what you were expecting. What are you going to do instead?

Med phys is greatness, you cant generalize the entire program over one course.

From what I have heard from friends; med phys and bio phys don't really focus on the heavier biology aspects for the most part; though I have seen some cool cell bio stuff regarding mechanisms in cells and how physics applies to them. The physics faculty is a small one so you will probably end up getting to know most of the people in your year and some upper years.

Welcome to physics and have a great summer!
