This may seem kind of a dumb question but are practice problems for courses usually assigned during lectures, tutorials or on Avenue? I'm asking since none of my profs have assigned practice problems so far and was just wondering if I should be checking avenue or wait for tutorials.

It may depend on your prof. However, in my experience, all of my profs post them on Avenue, either by its own pdf/ppt file, or embedded in the course notes.
