Pre-requisite for CMST 2BB3 SOLAR
Hello im a first year and in the humanities program going into communication studies.
In term one im planning to take CMST 1A03 and in term two im planning to take CMST 2BB3 but on solar it tells me "You do not have the academic requisites for course: CMST 2BB3". However the pre-requisite for that class is to be registered in the communication program, what does that mean, do I have to be in level 2?

Contact an academic advisor for communications. They probably have to switch it on their end. Or you won't be able to be registered in the 2bba until you have completed 1a03. What it means is that right now your registered under faculty of Humanities not communications.

lol im not 411 directory...... i would search macs website for the department. you may need to make an appointment or find out when their drop in days are and go then. Or contact them by email but if you want it fixed up faster you should go right there.

This.

Anyways, to answer the OP's question, if you're going into first year, you're not registered in a communications program, you're registered in "Humanities I". SOLAR doesn't know or care what you want to major in (starting in level 2), and at this stage you could easily change your mind anyways. You do not meet the prerequisite for this course, since you aren't in the communication studies program. You can contact the academic advisors but it's probably a waste of time--this isn't a SOLAR glitch.
