Prepaid credit card
Hi all,
I'm planning to get my own prepaid credit card (visa or mastercard), and I'm looking for something possibly with no annual fee, guaranteed approval and max limit of at least 2000. Does anyone has any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

In September you'll see a lot of credit card companies around Mac in the Student Centre as well as at the Sidewalk Sale, etc. They have very competitive pricing and plans during this time, so I'd wait until then. Also a lot of phone companies like Rogers, etc. come on campus during welcome week and compete with each other to give you the best plans. If you're thinking of buying a phone, its good to wait until this time too.

I know much music has a pre-paid credit card. Other than that all of the credit card companies I know about involve actual spending and you're billed afterwards.
I wrote an article about credit cards last year, which you can check out here: http://www.macinsiders.com/showthrea...=credit+ca rd

What's a pre-paid one? What if I pay more than I should every month so my amount flows into the next month? I know nothing about credit cards I just swipe and sign.

A lot of credit cards have annual fees, actually. Especially ones where you can get some sort of bonus points. It's something to watch out for when you sign your contract. Same with the amount of interest you will be paying.
Prepaid = you have a balance, and after it has been spent you have to top it off.
