Quinlan Named Oua Athlete And Offensive Football Player Of The Week

HAMILTON, Ont. - McMaster's Kyle Quinlan (South Woodslee, Ont.) has been named the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Athlete of the Week and the OUA Football Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Queen's Gaels in the OUA quarterfinals.

Quinlan led the McMaster Marauders to a 40-19 defeat of the Gaels completing 69% of his passes finishing 18 of 26 for 361 yards, four touchdowns zero interceptions. His 361 yards in the air accounted for 75% of McMaster's 483 yards of net offence in the game. He also ran the ball eight times for 42 yards including a touchdown. Quinlan was directly involved in scoring 30 of McMaster's 40 points in the contest.

His day didn't end there as to combat the gusting winds he was asked to punt deep in the McMaster zone. His first punt attempts of the season. His two punts combined for 120 yards one of them being for 79 yards. He averaged 60 yards punting for the day.

Quinlan and the Marauders will now travel to London on Saturday, November 6th to take on the Western Mustangs in the second of the two OUA semi-finals. Game time is 4:30 pm will be broadcast live on the Score and online at the www.thescore.ca
