Rapist near McMaster
http://www.thespec.com/news-story/40...master-campus/
Quote:
Police are seeking the public's help to identify a suspect involved with a sexual assault Thursday night in west Hamilton.
While walking westbound on Sussex Street near Emerson Street around 11:30 p.m., a woman heard shuffling behind her and attempted to run.
Before she could, an unknown man grabbed her from behind, covered her mouth and sexually assaulted her.
The woman stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, where she suffered minor injuries. She was able to free herself from the man and scream.
Two witnesses heard her, then chased the attacker as he fled west on Sussex before heading south on Emerson.
He is described as an Asian male, 5-foot-6 inches to 5-foot-10 inches tall, in his late teens to early 20s and clean shaven, with shaggy black hair and black wire-framed glasses.
He was wearing a white-collared polo shirt with red stripes, light beige cargo pants and white running shoes with white ankle socks.
Hamilton police's sexual assault unit will continue to investigate the incident. They will review any previously reported sexual assaults that have occurred in the same area to determine if there are any connections.

Don't forget the Asian conversion factor. If he looks late teens or early 20's he could be anywhere from 30 - 85 (had to calc the clean shaven into the equation)

That statement reflects a dreadfully unsatisfactory state of affairs. Unfortunately, there are too many losers in our environment who think and act that way. Ideally, females, and males, of all genders and colours and persuasions, should be able to walk our streets at any time of day or night, with no fear of subhuman predators.
Ladies: Take Back the Night walk is in September. Look up the date! They won't let like-minded males (like myself!) join the march, even though we may support the underlying concept whole-heartedly.

Excuse me, are you suggesting that women who are out at what you perceive to be "late hours of night" deserve to be sexually assaulted? If so, that is discriminatory, offensive, belittling and puts no responsibility on the actions of the perpetrator. We live in a society where people should expect to live safely and carry out their normal day to day activities and not fear being assaulted or harmed.
And exactly what defines "late hours" at night? Who makes the call? Is it "after dark"? That then means that according to you, everybody should stay home after 5 PM in winter because it's "dark". What happens to our night courses, night jobs and night meetings then?
And are you also comparing women to chickens? Not only is that highly offensive, but the comparison makes no sense, because women are people, not chickens.

Yeah, and instead of shooting each other, Arabs and Jews should pick flowers and skip. The world isn't perfect, always been and will always be like that. If you can avoid trouble, please do. That's why I posted this here, knowing some people don't check local news and might become the next victim.
Ladies, please avoid walking alone at night, alone or with people you barely know. Stay safe.

AvacadoLover you seriously need to educate yourself. What you just stated is utterly offensive and disgusting.
I hope that poor girl gets the support that she needs right now. I feel for her, that is literally right by my house and I walk around late at night alone all of the time here. I can't even imagine. So many good vibes being sent her way right now.

You see a woman outside. It is midnight. You proposition her. She says no. What do you do? Obviously since she's out at midnight, even if she says no, you have the right to screw her against her will, right?
Or less politely: You see a woman outside at midnight. You're horny so you decide that it's within your rights to rape her. Because it's night time. The rights of women fly out the window once the sun goes down, am I right? Oh, and it's okay. You're a "nice guy". You might not even want to hurt her. It's just that you're so freaking horny you can't help yourself, right? It's all good, you're a decent person and she's basically asking for it for daring to go out at night.
Sorry, but that's disgusting. Between the creeper pictures and saying that women having the sheer gall to go outside at night without expecting to be raped is a problem, I think the females in your life should be a bit wary of you.

If my statement is incorrect, then McMaster won't need to have SWHAT.

But we do, so there you go. She should have used it. In fact, I would recommend all females to use such the service if they are walking home late.

No, because we are not talking about normal people trying to rape women, we are talking about creeps lurking at night.

People perpetuating the mindset that "women are chickens and can be treated as such" is one of the many reasons that society invests in security services, not just "it gets dark outside".

It is not incorrect that there are dangers out there at night.
Your post compared women getting raped to poultry farming. Do you honestly not see what the fuck is wrong with that?
Here, this is what you said, except I'm replacing the chicken metaphor with the situation at hand:
"I mean, if you see [a woman] outside [her house] at night, you go in and [rape her]."
How the hell do you see nothing wrong with this statement.
