The breakdown for this course is as follows:
(Both terms are out of 100% each)

Term 1:
Top Hat Monocle: 5%
Tutorial Participation: 10%
Three In-class Quizzes: The first two at 10% each and the last one at 8%
Four Essays: 8% each
Exam: 25%

Term 2:
5 online quizzes: 2% each
3 Written submissions: 15% each
Top Hat Monocle: 5%
Tutorial participation:10%
Final Exam: 30%

***Top Hat Monocle is basically the same as a clicker except you text in/ submit your answers online. Its expensive this year you could opt out and add the extra percent to your exam. I'm not sure they will do it again next year.

One textbook for each term. They were both really boring but dead useful. I think they are going to change the second term textbook though because everyone complained.

Overall, this course can be a lot of work because the readings are long and there are a lot of essays. However, its definitely possible to do well in this course but it's a lot of work. (The class average both terms were 60 something). It can be pretty interesting though and Dr. Carter is an awesome prof!
