^ i already cheked that site but it dosent state if there are single rooms or double rooms

I want to live in res and still be in my own room, because I have friends over i dont want my roommate to be bothered, and i also if i decide to focus on my studies i cant have any one disturbing me and i dont think that would be fine with a room mate

in ur res application do i pick if u want to be alone or u have no choice?

Actually, if you go here: http://housing.mcmaster.ca/Residence...Buildings.html (which is still the housing website...) and click on the different building names, it will tell you what sorts of rooms are in each.

As for the application, you can pick different room types (the ones that are listed on the original link I gave you) and rank them, but it isn't guaranteed: http://housing.mcmaster.ca/Residence...es_FAQ.html#22

you make it seem as if having a roomate is like a punishment. i personally feel quite opposite . i find singles sooo boring, its just u in that little tiny room all by urself. im so glad i have a roomate again, just makes life never dull. plus i have no problem with doing work i get it all done without ym roomate bothering me. GO DOUBLES!~

You can be guaranteed a single room if you have an admission average of 95.0% by mid second term. That's how I got my single room. I've yet to meet anyone who got a single room by lottery. So, work hard, and you'll get it.

Well, if you get unlucky, you may get stuck in the Woodstock quad room on the first floor. Thats just 1 big room with 4 bunk and lofts crammed in there.

You can also get a single room if you come here for a varsity sport or if your an international student with certain exceptions.
