Residence Question
Hey guys, I'm going to be living in Brandon Hall, and i'm a first year there. I was just wondering if it was possible for me to bring my door-mounted bar thingy (it's called Power Gym). It just clings onto the frame of the door and is just a chin-up bar type of thing. I can probably take it down to close the door, but when it's up, you obviously can't close the door. Anyone have any ideas??

It looks like this http://www.loopydetails.com/article_...er_gym_002.jpg

Thanks

If the door can't close, you can't use it. There's some fire bylaw in Hamilton, where nothing is allowed to prop the doors open except for a human being sitting there. So no chairs, garbage cans, etc that would prevent the door from closing. If you take it down whenever you're not using it, immediately, they might allow it--I guess it depends on your CA and if they see you

Haha alright. Thanks for the quick reply . I guess I'll just put it up, do a quick little workout, and take it down, all while doing this at like 3 in the morning so no one finds out... lol. thanks bro.

Why would you need to when there is a perfectly accessable and desirable gym facility only a few minutes walk away....?

It is one of the nicest Uni gyms in Canada, so why not take advantage of it? Doing some chin ups off a doorway wont keep you in peak physical condition anyways.... Find a gym buddy

Oh yea for sure I'll be going to the gym, but I just like having that for when i'm low on time or something. Oh, and is there an age limit on the gym, or do you just have to be attending the University?

You don't even have to be attending McMaster to buy a membership to the gym. So anyone can use it.
