Rocco Piro

Rocco Piro is one of my favourite professors because of his outgoing personality and very straight up, honest teaching style. You won't have any surprises with Rocco, his lectures are very well organized and all the information you need to study for midterms and exams are in his powerpoint slides which he makes available online so it's very convenient and easy to follow along and catch up if you miss a class. He can also be very humorous at times, and is able to joke around to make the class fun and enjoyable.

Rocco Piro teaches Computer Architecture (MMEDIA 2C03) as well as Computer Networking (3G03). Both courses are very practical in their course material and he does a good job explaining so many things in such little time as a single semester (there's so much to learn in networking and computer architecture!).

Both classes with Piro have been a blast and I highly recommend taking his courses. The class sizes are very small and you do all your tutorials in groups, so you meet people very quick and make many new friends in his courses. I met a lot of great people through his 2C03 class and we've been a close knit group ever since.
