school closure
Not sure if school is going to be closed? Check the McMaster Daily News website: http://dailynews.mcmaster.ca /. It us updated often during times of poor weather to let students and staff know if and when the school will be closed.

Hi Chad and Danielle,
I don't get a chance to read and reply to the Mac Insiders discussion forum often, but this is the best site for any potential university closure during a storm. It's the McMaster Storm Policy, found under policies in the McMaster quick links. This is the best place to go to as most times, the announcement of a university closure comes via a radio announcement and not the McMaster daily news which usually gets updated at around 8:30am to 9:00am. The radio will announce a closure as early as 5:30am The Storm Policy document gives you the radio stations to listen to for a closure announcement, describes what it means when the university is closed, lists all the activities and building closures and gives you a listing of the "essential" services that remain open on campus when the university is closed. (it's a short list) ie Security Services, Housing & Conference Service etc.

A great find Lombard, thanks for sharing. I usually turn on, and rely on, AM 900 CHML for school closure information rather than the Daily News, since 900CHML updates their 'storm watch' section on their homepage in real time.. when its snowing heavily, etc. (am900chml.com)
