I'm going into second year math (transferring from life science) and I'm just wondering how math is in summer school. I was thinking of taking Math 2R03, and Math 2C03, to possibly lighten the load for the school year. I'm just wondering if it is a good idea or not...any thoughts? Is it harder in summer school? I notice there are no tutorials...so does that mean there are no TA's? Also, there is no instructor listed, is there anyway I could find out who is teaching?

It's probably easier. I took 1AA in summer and it was really easy.

I'm also taking both math 2C03 and math 2R03 this summer, I definitely recommend it.

It's likely to be easier during the summer.

There aren't any 'official' TAs for second year courses. That being said, the math help centre is operational (for first years). You can always drop in if it's not too busy and ask someone to take a look at it. The drawback is they may not know, but it's worth a shot.

If i was choosing who goes into the co-op program, I know I would look down at kids who took the courses in summer school instead of during the school year, does that though run through their minds when applying for the coop program?

That's a good question. I do want to do co-op...does anyone know?

No. There's a set of reasons the people that run the co-op program are running the co-op program. One of the elements of that set is presumably 'I don't think like SydVicious'.

EDIT: Seriously, they don't consider it. I asked Michelle about this, she said that it's a non-issue.
