Stressed about exams? SHEC’s got your back! The Student Health Education Centre will team up with various campus and Hamilton organizations to put together events to help deal with the craziness of the exam period. Remember, stress can cause a productivity decline, but taking a break can actually improve your efficiency.
The Chaplaincy Centre is holding free coffee socials from December 5th – 16th, 5:30pm – 9:30pm in MUSC 230. On December 6th, SHEC is looking forward to transforming this event into a board games night! So come by, drink some free coffee, play some games, make some new friends and let go of all the stress that’s bringing you down!
On December 5th, 12th and 17th, SHEC is teaming up with the Hamilton Burlington SPCA to bring animals in to Mills Library (L113). SHEC volunteers will be on hand from noon to 1pm with some adorable dogs who can’t wait to help ease your stress.
SHEC is still open during the exam period for peer support with trained volunteers who would love to talk to you about whatever is going on in your life. SHEC is available 11am – 3pm, December 5th-13th.
Other events include a crafting workshop by Threadwork, bi-weekly runs by Mac Running Club and exam yoga and meditation in DBAC! Check out msumcmaster.ca/shec for a full event listing.
