"Single Study Rooms"?
Most of the libraries offer group study rooms, but I was wondering if there's any place where I can find a single study room? I know it sounds weird, but when I study, I need to read things out loud. I have a roommate and she's always in the room, and I don't want to bother her. Are there any places where I can study out loud? I used to study outside, someplace quiet, but it's getting colder now. Any help would be appreciated!

At night or during the day? At night u can go to random tutorial rooms or explore around campus for an empty room. Just set up shop till u get kicked

Day or night, do to the basement of TSH/KTH and wander till you find an empty classroom. It's a great place to go during the day where there's nowhere to sit in MUSC or at night when you want to get some late night studying done.

You can also book group study rooms for Thode, IAHS, Mills, and Innis; you don't necessarily have to have a 'group' but try not to do it all the time.

I would advise against this because there are many more places for someone to study alone than there are for people to meet as a group. if everyone starts booking group study rooms for themselves it'll be a pain to find anywhere to meet during the school year.

LOL no there isnt...during busy times there isnt a single place on campus that is empty for you to study alone. Its a rarity.
Book a study room.

It's nobody's business to decide what a person uses a study room for. This person expressly stated that its difficult to study for them if they can't speak aloud.
You clearly didn't read into the context of the original poster, so I'll ignore your indiscretion.

I can understand the OP's situation, but the study rooms in Thode, Innis, and Mills are not for individual studying. Therefore, the OP can try to find people that don't mind noise to come study with him/her.

Equally possible is it for groups to find space without necessarily needing a private room. I'm not arguing that 1 person should be allowed, but if they get a second person to join them, then they can legitimately have the room without contest according to the rules
I find it more common for people to book rooms and do nothing but socialize or play on their laptop, so this whole thing shouldn't really be an issue, but that's another topic. There always seems to be space in the booking system up to the day or two prior, and a lot of the groups that get annoyed are the ones who didn't plan ahead and try to drop in.

The rooms are meant for "groups" to study in and the rules clearly dictate that a minimum of 3 people need to be using it. When did I ever criticize OP's purpose for needing the room? I just emphasized that the group study rooms should be prioritized for GROUPS that need them.
