Social Sciences - Combined BA/BSW, Not sure what level I's to take
So the desired result is that i make it into the B.S.W program.

I know of the limited spaces, so i'd like a back up plan... but im not sure what to take or where to find it.

I plan to take SOCW 1A06, SOCIOL 1A06, SOC PSY 1Z03, and PSYCH 1X03 for sure. I was looking at the Combined B.A/B.S.W program, so that covers the compulsary component and more. If by chance i can't get into Social work, and decide on Psychology Instead, or something else within social sciences all together, what should i take to set that up? Any one in a similar boat than myself?

Thanks in advance!

if you want to do psychology you will need BOTH Psych 1x03 and 1xx3 as well as a bio course and a math course. http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/pnb...raduate/BA.pdf --those list the admission requirements. i suggest you check the other admission requirements for other areas of interest and try to take courses that will apply to the ones you are most interested in

Okay, thanks! i forgot to mention 1xx3 i had that in there too but it slipped my mind.

If that is the case then, for the bio component... if i have grade 12 bio do i still need a biology unit? it says its an option to just rely on the 12U bio, but i dont want that decision to bite me in the ass when it matters most

Hi there, you only need uni bio if you want to do a BSc in psych (you'd also need chem and physics), but I believe grade 12 bio and a university calculus credit is good enough if you want to do a BA in psych.

There is a Honours BA in social psychology if you don't want just the regular BA.
