Solar- Timetables
Hi there,
I was doing my timetable yesterday (life sciences).. and it was really stressful. lol
but, despite that, i got all my courses done.
however, just a few days ago, i posted my schedule up on this website with my labs, tutorials and times for my classes.
however, on SOLAR, it just asked for my course code and course name... it didn't ask for time, lab or any tutorials.
is that right..?
and how does that work; does mcmaster just fill in our own lab time and tutorials?
THANKS SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME OUT !

That is right. When SOLAR re-opens on August 13th, you will be able to switch into the sections you want (if space permits).

It's still a good idea to do a mock up of your timetable even though you can't select cores/tutorials/etc. at first. That way you at least can slot the courses you plan to take in their appropriate semesters and have a chance of getting assigned the core/tutorial/etc. you wanted and not having to go through the hassle of manually trying to get in later.

Exactly. It's also important to know if two courses that you want to take don't conflict. Maybe a course only offers 1 tutorial and it conflicts with the only core of another course.

Actually read this: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /regis...%20FINAL. pdf
In short, "SOLAR re-opens for those students previously registered and fees
cleared by August 12, and for those students who are newly admitted
after July 15th"
It re-opens for all students on August 18th.
