hi all, I'm taking STATS 2B03 this year and I noticed that the only thing that is required for the course is the lab manual...all the textbooks are optional.. i was wondering if anyone who has taken this course could tell me if buying any textbooks would be helpful or not.

no do not buy the textbook its a waste all u need is the charts in the back and you can find a pdf file of the textbook online so just download that

If you buy the lab manual, do you need to buy the mini tab program? Do you get marked for attending labs?

lab is optional you only go if u need help, and you don't need to buy mini tab they are available in school computers in libraries and computer labs, but if u are lazy like me just torrent it

Assuming you are a computer noob as you say, you probably don't know what torrenting is. You will need another program to torrent, I use utorrent, but other popular programs include bittorrent.
