Switch Programs In Second Year
I'm currently trying to figure out which program to choose for when I enter second year in the fall. I'm choosing between Honours Life Science and Biology & Environmental Sciences but I'm so torn. The latter had limited enrolment, so I'm thinking of going into Bio & Enviro Sci, but if I don't like the feel of things would I be able to switch over to Life Sci when the year is through? Is switching programs like this a difficult matter?

It's not difficult. I technically switched (again) at the end of my second year as well.

You just may be a little behind in credits that you'll have to make up.

Thanks for the input. Would taking courses that are shared between both programs' requirements assist in the switch?

Yup, that definitely helps a lot. And I suppose it could end up giving you a minor if you don't choose to switch (i.e. minor is Psych for example)
