Old Bistro menu, welcome back. You've been sorely missed.
I did not enjoy the limited selection of food and raised prices during the strike.

Does this mean the buses go back in school tomorrow? All this walking in the cold is terrible.

Its less the walk and more the cold temperatures and the actual hassle at the stop. The walk is only 10 minutes, once you get to the stop its a hell hole. There's a reason all the GO buses have their own stop at the terminal behind Keyes. That many people should not be standing in massive groups on the edge of the road. Also there's been a few really cold days and you have to leave earlier to get to that stop, and you have to walk and stand out in the cold longer. The GO bus stop on campus has shelters that have heat when it drops below a certain temperature.
Before you jump to conclusions there are always numerous factors in a situation. Yeah I do need the extra little walk, I would just enjoy it more if I wasn't freezing cold and being pushed into the road.

By next few months I'm sincerely hoping you mean in or after April.
How would a strike of sessional Professors work I wonder? Would all classes be canceled or only those with sessional Professors? Presumably many other non-sessional Profs would be inclined to support the striking Professors.
I definitely don't want to find out first hand though. I'm ready to finish up this term and graduate.

The contract for the TAs and RAs (who went on strike September 2009) is up again either at the end of the summer or early fall term, so contract negotiations will begin again over the next few months. That's the only one I know about - I THINK sessionals is a bit later, but could be wrong.

One to look out for is the Faculty one. The administration wants to cut new faculty hires out of the pension plan and to freeze wages for 2 years. Neither of those are going to go over well with profs and if they go on strike then McMaster would really have to shut down. Note that the just averted staff strike last year (CAW, Fall 2009) was primarily over the same two issues.
