So the clock on my computer says "DST ended on November-7-2010 at 2:00 AM. The clock went back 1 hour at that time."

Uhm, no it didn't, because it's still 2:22 AM. Shouldn't it be 1:22 AM, or is the digital clock on my computer just gonna be moving slower for these two hours?

(Sorry, it's the first time I'm experiencing DST. Ain't got it in the Middle East.)

I started tripping out for a few minutes because I went to the washroom, came back, and suddenly it was 1 AM, but I thought it was around 1:55 when I'd gone to do my business. But then reality set in.

If it were up to me, we would only change the clocks back - never forward. I wouldn't give a shit if every ten years or so it would be dark out during the day. I refuse to lose an hour! >:U

 change is good.

I didn't have to do any of that. In fact, I didn't even know DST had ended since my PC clock reverted automatically and so did my phone's
are you people still on analog watches?

If I were you I would have gotten back on the toilet to see if the time rolls back another hour. You could have a time travelling toilet on your hands! That would be so awesome.

Well I found out today that my clock automatically sets itself back an hour, so me adding another hour onto that really didn't help me. I totally missed my first class and instead I sat in on a critical thinking course offered in the same room one hour later where the prof proved the validity of an argument stating all critical thinking students are alone on friday nights.

One thing I realized this year about DST is that it happens on different days of the year depending on where you are in the world. I know that there are places that don't do it at all, but I never knew that places do it on different days. Like here in France we had our fall back last week on October 31st instead of this week. So for a week I was only 5 hours ahead of everybody back home.

What I find really trippy is that Arizona (and Hawaii) are the only states that don't observe daylight savings. So for like 6 months of the year, when you cross the border from Utah to Arizona, you automatically lose an hour even though you're in the same timezone (and either lose 2 hours or end up at same time when you cross timezones!).

Hmmm I wonder why they don't observe it? It seems rather odd.. well Arizona more so than Hawaii since Hawaii is way out in the middle of the ocean, it can do whatever it wants.
