Talking to the faculty advisors from both the faculties seems like the best thing to do i guess !

It will be pretty tough from what i hear.. they usually only take 10 people per year and you only get one chance to switch. You should also try and get at least a 10.0 cumulative average.

Hey, I was a Soc Sci student in my first year and I managed to transfer to Commerce in 2011.

Make sure you are taking ALL the courses they require you to, and that you DO NOT miss the deadline to apply (when I applied it was March 31st, I remember cuz it was my birthday)

I got in with a 8.6 average. I'd say you need to work hard in your classes (obviously), maybe have a talk with an academic advisor at DSB. I found them to be helpful and knowledgeable about the transfer.

Also, get your marks with easy courses like the two Econ's. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
