Validation Sticker
I got my validation sticker in the mail, but at the top where it normally says UG/FT (which I assume means undergrad/full-time), it says U-FT/PA...does this mean full-time/part-time? That doesn't really make sense.
My payment agreement is screwed up because of co-op...although MUGSI is aware I'm a full-time, co-op student (it even says so in my payment agreement), I'm being charged the supplementary fees of a part-time student, since I'm only taking 15 units (school first term, work second term). I've emailed student accounts & cashiers, but I'm still waiting for a response--and I emailed them before I got my validation sticker.
Does it matter what it says? Is anyone else having the same problem?

Ya, I also have U - FT/PA at the top of my validation sticker, but I'm taking 36 units.
I guess it doesn't really matter, then - but why would part-time and full-time be on the same sticker? Shouldn't they be differentiated?

Question. If I got my validation sticker for the 2010-11 school year, can I start using it asap with HSR or do I have to wait until September?

Hm, I wonder if they just changed the stickers this year, then! I still have mine from last year and it definitely says UG/FT.
As long as it's normal and not screwed up, I'm happy
I am a bit curious as to what it means, though!

You have to wait until Sept...I think it's the 1st, but I could be wrong.

Well, U-FT most likely means Undergraduate Full Time. Not quite sure what PA means...

mine actually says that as well and my sticker is red with the \hsr part in pale blue. At the time of printing I was enrolled in 18 units so I figured that I was FT fees wise and PA meant part-time academic ...because academically I am considered part-time ..does that make any sense?

I'm not sure...for me it's the opposite, I was charged part-time for fees (although I shouldn't have been) but I'm considered full-time academically. It doesn't make sense that people who are full-time for both # of units and fees are also getting the same thing, though.

interesting .... is your sticker red as well? I know there was another thread about student cards that mentioned stickers that were a blue/green colour ... I was thinking of going in to the Registrar's office to ask them... I have searched the Mcmaster website, but i cannot find anything about what the info on the stickers actually means! Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I think they were just talking about the HSR part, since that's the part that changes colour each year. The rest is always red.
...
Mine also says U-FT/PA.

Yeah, for the normal fall-winter session the stickers are red, for the spring/summer session they're green. The HSR changes colour every year, and this year mine's a light blue.
