And it's probably common knowledge, but you're safer in pairs and groups of course.
As well, to everyone who has an iPod, try and get different headphones. I can't find the article but reportedly the white earbuds are a great tip off that you have at least 100+ bucks worth of electronics on you, and probably more, making Apple earbud users more susceptible to theft.

there are a lot of characters in westdale. I've never heard of it being this bad! I know i was approached by some crackhead who kept nagging me and my friends for change as we were leaving Tim Hortons it was funny how he had like 20 different stories to try and convince us.

People should steal if they need to. But from large national companies and not other people out on the street.
