I like how nobody cared about football at all until McMaster won some random shit nobody cares about. The bandwagoning I'm seeing among students is kind of pathetic.

Although I agree a lot of students probably have never followed football before the Marauders started winning, I think your perception of bandwagoning is actually school spirit Personally, I was never a CIS football fan, but being a big football fan, this playoff run by the Marauders has sparked an interest in following CIS football.
I second this ^.
I will happily admit to having absolutely no interest in football. The game was great, but I'm not going to start following/watching it just cause Mac won. Most people I know are the same. It's just about supporting your school.

There are a lot of people who actually care. There were a tonne of people at the bar and half of them had an understanding of the rules, which is about what you'd see at most football games. (Seriously I always find it fun to hear interesting rules interpretations by fans in the stands)

If the rules are anything like the NFL rules then I'm not surprised. Probably 95% of fans don't even know all the rules. As of 2011, the NFL rulebook is 113 pages and the CFL rulebook is like 90 pages. Most of the times special cases and exceptions don't normally occur in a game but when it does it's like WTF. I remember the first time I heard about the tuck rule in NFL...
