WES question
hi guys,
I am an international student admitted for MEPP for fall 2018. after being admitted I have sent my transcripts to the engineering department from issued institution. I have read all of procedures regarding sending hard copies and nowhere asked to have our transcripts evaluated by WES. however some students are saying that you had to do it before sending it to the McMaster University.

is it true? if yes, what should I do now?

Hi Pedram, welcome to MacInsiders, and congrats on getting into MEPP for Fall 2018!

If in doubt, I would recommend emailing [email protected] to clarify.

The program info can be found here:
https://academiccalendars.rom cmast...urnto =search

According to that page, it says "Applicants will be required to complete an online interview. Professional work experience is desirable but not essential. Prospective applicants who did not attain the required standing in their undergraduate degree, should discuss their situation with the Associate Director of Graduate Studies in SEPT. If the applicant’s experience is deemed sufficient, the Associate Director of Graduate Studies in SEPT will recommend a live interview."

It doesn't specifically say WES evaluates your transcript, but it does say there is that academic standing required, so I assume that is what they were referring to?

On the Eng website it has a bit more detail for admission:
https://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/sept/pro...n-requirements

As part of the application process, each applicant is required to upload:

Resume or CV
Complete Contact information for 2 Academic References (to be included in the on-line application)
Transcripts from any post-secondary institution(s) attended
Recent IELTS or TOEFL scores (within the last 2 years) required for international students. Minimum IELTS score 6.5 overall (minimum requirement 5.5 in reading and writing and 6 in listening and speaking). Minimum TOEFL score is 88. Note that if your medium of instruction was English and this is documented on your transcripts, you do not need to submit an ELP test.
Statement of Interest is also required.
* No additional documents should be uploaded*

** Please note that applications cannot be reviewed until all documents have been uploaded and the referees have responded. All applications must be completed before the international or domestic deadline to be considered.**
