What's the best method to study for chem test?
I'm behind chem the most compared to my other courses. And our tests is coming up this friday. How should I go about to doing some good reviewing for it?

I'm still on my way to completing the 2nd mastering chem assignments and I find them quite helpful actually. So I think I'll be reviewing the first mastering chem assignment too.

But how else? Are the chem slides good to look over or should I go straight into the textbook? Any advice would be helpful

Past midterms are the best way to gauge how well you know the material

end of chapter questions, masteringchem, tutorial questions, past midterms. this is all you need. the material has been easy so you should easily catch up. i like this course because they give you a lot of stuff to prepare for the tests.

Just as much practice, but make sure you're writing down key points on a summary sheet to review consistently. Makes exam studying much easier. Equation you have trouble with? Summary sheet. Tricky concept regarding electrons? Summary sheet. Can't remember how to draw that Lewis dot diagram? Summary sheet to the rescue.

Craploads upon craploads of practice problems, review tutorial problems (some of them come up on the tests slightly varied), and past midterms.

I didn't find the textbook questions that helpful. I just did the practice midterms and the tutorial questions and reviewed the slides. Also, make sure you understand the real-life applications they give in the slides because there will most likely be a question about them.

Do the old midterm questions over and over again until you can do them in your sleep.
Know the slides inside-out.
Prioritize old midterms and lectures slides over reading the textbook/doing textbook questions.

Looks like another case of "do what suits you".

I say this because I always thought the textbook questions were extremely helpful but I guess a lot of people disagree :-/

If you find something works for you, don't change it because somebody else did better/seems smarter than you and is doing something else. Then again this is the first test so I guess this is the best time to try everything out and hope something works
