This is a tech elective: http://engphys.mcmaster.ca/undergrad.../3w04/3w04.htm
"Three Dub" has changed over the years, but people in the year before mine, as I understand, had a hell of a time.... many entered, few remained.
The scary part is if you didn't know and you chose it, not being in eng. phys. (required for them) or knowing about the horrors, and then being screwed and not being able to graduate! D:

I found it not very easy at all. When I took it the professor kept referring to stuff "that you should know from inorganic" and the TA in tutorial would get upset when the class didn't understand stuff because it should have basically already been known.

Maybe it's just difficult if you don't have a solid chemistry background, then.

Probably. I would personally believe first year chem not sufficient. I did well in both and didn't really feel I gained what was the requisite knowledge to do well in 3II3.

Not saying I agree or disagree with you, but have you taken either course or anything from either program besides ridiculously easy stuff like Econ 1B03?
Difficulty is incredibly subjective. I'd probably do better in a difficult math course than a moderately difficult poli sci course.

I think it definitely changed. I took it last semester, and the class average on our 45% exam was 48%.

That's heart breaking. Did the brilliant trio (Provatas, Kish, Zurob) get benched?
