The Google Nexus 7 got released today, $209 CAD.

All above arguments are now invalid.

Hm, just looked it up, doesn't seem to have expandable storage... That's also a bit of a letdown. I accepted that with my phone just because it has 32gb internal, but the Nexus 7 only goes up to 16gb internal :/.

They seemed to be pushing cloud streaming media during the I/O keynotes, or at least what I saw of it - I couldn't get away with watching the entire stream at work lol - so maybe that's going to be their justification for no SD. Still disappointing I think.

But it's only $150... and seeing as I don't use anything horribly powerful then it may work for me even though I don't really need it. Damn consumerism

As a pdf reader+ lite browsing, you can't go wrong. Even though it doesn't have huge app selection compared to android or apple, who needs 1,000,000 apps anyways.

Lol, inferior?

The hardware inside is comparable and even better than other tablets in some aspects.

The speed is comparable to the other tablets that millions have purchased (Samsungs, iPads, etc.)

Not sure where you get "inferior" from... App World? Sure. Less selection.
