Would my exam mark be zero if the medical document didn't get approved? : (

Even if you weren't lying, which you probably are, just write the exam with a fever. ^_^ I've only written one midterm while ill, but it was the highest mark I've gotten on a midterm in university. I remember chugging Buckley's and whatnot right before I went into the room.

Talk to your faculty. The case has to be exceptional. It can't just be "I had the flu for a week". You have to have hard documentation and a REALLY good reason. Even then, a lot of people don't get through.

I got my exam deferred with my reasoning being that I misread the schedule and thought the exam was at 2pm, not 9am (which was in fact the truth). While I got the deferral, it came with an extreme warning lol.

Now I triple check my exam schedules........

Basic point is if you're honest, there's no lie, and you've been performing well in school, they have no reason to deny your request lol. Just don't abuse it like everyone else here is suspecting.

I don't understand, how could your exam not be deferred if you brought in a medical form? I've never heard of that happening before :S Unless your doctor wrote "p.s. lying about being sick.."
